bztronics Technology History

The History of TBSW Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave Technology

TBSW (Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave) technology was developed by bztronics beginning in 2004 as part of our continuing research into frequency, audio and alternative-health technologies.

TBSW Development Began at bztronics in 2004

What Does TBSW Mean?

TBSW stands for Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave.

Traditional binaural beats use two frequencies, normally presenting one frequency to the left ear and another to the right.

TBSW expanded this concept by adding a center frequency dimension.

Rather than working with only a left and right frequency, the TBSW system creates a trilateral frequency relationship using pure sine waves. This additional center dimension makes possible frequency combinations and relationships that are not present in a conventional two-frequency binaural configuration.

Tri — three
Lateral — frequency positioning
Balanced — relationship between frequency components
Sine Wave — the fundamental waveform used

The Origin of TBSW

2004

Development Begins at bztronics

bztronics began developing its Life Frequencies technology during the early 2000s.

Our work combined decades of experience in electronics, computer programming, digital audio and frequency generation with research into resonant frequencies and alternative-health applications.

In 2004, bztronics began development of a new approach to binaural and brainwave frequency generation.

That technology became TBSW — Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave.

TBSW subsequently became an important component of the Life Frequencies family of software.

More Than Two Decades of TBSW Development

The history of TBSW did not begin recently. bztronics has been developing and using Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave technology since 2004.

2004 — TBSW Development Begins

bztronics begins development of Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave technology. The concept adds a center-frequency dimension to conventional left/right binaural frequency generation.

Early Life Frequencies Systems

TBSW becomes part of the developing Life Frequencies software family as research continues into center, left and right frequency relationships.

Life Frequencies Professional

TBSW develops into a dedicated component of the Life Frequencies Professional systems, allowing users to select existing combinations and experiment with their own frequencies.

TBSW Pro

Later Life Frequencies Professional generations introduce TBSW Pro, expanding the original technology with additional capabilities.

Life Frequencies Pro X8

TBSW Pro continues as a major component of Life Frequencies Pro X8 alongside Rife frequencies, healing tones and other frequency technologies.

Life Frequencies Pro 10

Life Frequencies Pro 10 continues the TBSW lineage with a complete TBSW Pro section where users can select built-in TBSW presets or create their own combinations.

TBSW ZX

TBSW moves beyond traditional Windows software with TBSW ZX, bringing the technology to modern phones, tablets and computers.

How TBSW Differs From Conventional Binaural Beats

A conventional binaural configuration uses two frequencies.

Conventional Two-Frequency Example
Left
300 Hz
Right
305 Hz

The difference between those frequencies is 5 Hz.

TBSW adds another dimension to this arrangement through its center-frequency component and the relationships produced between the frequencies.

This creates a much larger range of possible frequency combinations. The original bztronics TBSW approach was deliberately based on pure frequency generation. The technology was designed around the frequencies themselves.

Why Was TBSW Developed?

During our frequency research, we wanted greater control than conventional two-frequency binaural systems provided.

A person's left and right brainwave activity does not necessarily exist in identical states at every moment. The TBSW concept was developed to provide another frequency dimension that could be used when constructing frequency combinations.

This opened an enormous experimental field. Instead of being limited to a single difference between two frequencies, researchers and users could experiment with relationships involving a center frequency together with the left and right frequencies.

Over the years, bztronics developed TBSW presets and combinations for applications including relaxation, sleep, stress, focus and other frequency experiments.

TBSW and Life Frequencies

TBSW was not simply an idea that appeared on a webpage years later. It became part of actual bztronics software.

Generations of Life Frequencies users have had access to TBSW technology through bztronics applications.

That software history provides a continuing technological lineage:

bztronics Frequency Research  →  TBSW Development  →  Life Frequencies  →  TBSW Pro  →  Pro X8  →  Pro 10  →  TBSW ZX

The products changed. Computers changed. Operating systems changed. Audio technology changed.

TBSW continued to evolve with them.

TBSW in the Historical Record

The term TBSW — Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave now appears in material outside bztronics. That is one reason we created this historical record.

People researching TBSW today may encounter the terminology without encountering its earlier history.

Existing bztronics documentation identifies TBSW as bztronics technology and records development beginning in 2004. Earlier Life Frequencies material likewise describes bztronics TBSW and defines the acronym as Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave.

For anyone researching the origin and history of TBSW, the chronology is important:

The Original TBSW Philosophy

One principle has remained consistent throughout the development of TBSW:

Keep the frequencies at the center of the technology.

TBSW was not designed around subliminal messages or elaborate psychological programming. It was designed around frequency relationships.

That philosophy fit naturally with the larger bztronics approach to frequency technology: use modern electronics, digital audio and computer technology to explore what can be accomplished with frequencies themselves.

That research continues today.

TBSW Today

More than twenty years after development began, TBSW remains an active part of bztronics technology.

Life Frequencies Pro 10

The current generation of the Life Frequencies Windows system includes TBSW Pro together with Rife frequency generation, manual frequency tools, sweep generation, healing tones and other frequency technologies.

TBSW ZX

A modern implementation of TBSW technology designed for phones, tablets and computers.

TBSW Frequently Asked Questions

What does TBSW stand for?

TBSW stands for Trilateral Balanced Sine Wave.

Who developed TBSW?

bztronics began development of TBSW technology in 2004 as part of its frequency and Life Frequencies research.

When was TBSW developed?

Development began at bztronics in 2004.

Is TBSW the same as binaural beats?

No. TBSW grew from research involving binaural frequency concepts, but adds a center-frequency dimension and additional frequency relationships beyond a conventional two-frequency binaural arrangement.

Is TBSW still used?

Yes. More than two decades after its initial development, TBSW remains part of current bztronics technology, including Life Frequencies Pro 10 and TBSW ZX.

More Than Two Decades of TBSW

From the original frequency experiments through generations of Life Frequencies software and today's Pro 10 and TBSW ZX systems, TBSW has been part of the continuing bztronics technology story.
